“I’mma whoop her little ass when I get to her.” She fussed. I shook my head, because she didn’t even understand.

“I’m not about to let you whoop my child because you have issues. You got life fucked up. Like I said, I’m going to give you your time to figure out what it is that you really want, and if you want this marriage to work, but as of right now, come Monday morning, I’m filing for divorce. I’ll talk to you later.”

“Wait I--” Click! I hung up in her face before I allowed her to say anything else. I was really over my fucking marriage. I was a little hurt and pissed that I had invested so much time into her ass only for her to prove everyone right, but life went on. Jess really needed to find herself, because for the past two years, I allowed my wife to become a slouch. If she didn’t do something, she would lose me forever, and that was a promise. Maybe I needed to reach out to her mother and father to see if they knew something that I didn’t. I had hung up the phone just in time, because Renee walked up to me looking like a life-sized Barbie. She was actually a lot prettier than I remembered.

“Good afternoon sir.”

“Hello, Ms. Renee. We can have Carlos take a look at your car first to get a estimate. Come on.” I said, walking to the back where Carlos was. As the wind blew, I smelled her fragrance, and I couldn’t lie; shorty was smelling good enough to eat, and she was looking even better. I was trying to keep my eyes from wandering as we walked through the shop, but I was having the hardest time.

I had already told Carlos I was coming through today to have our cars looked at. Carlos was a crook that nigga did it all, any illegal activities he was the one to call. He got rid of cars, repaired cars, anything dealing with a car, he knew how to fix or make it go away if you know what I mean. I had to keep that nigga on my roster. I had been fucking with him since my teens, and even now, that nigga hadn’t switched up, and I appreciated that type of loyalty. Seemed like motherfuckers didn’t know about that shit these days, but enough about that, we needed to figure out about these cars.

“What’s up, Renzo, and who the hell is this pretty lady you have here with you today, because it surely isn’t--”

“This is Renee. Renee, this is Carlos.” I said, cutting him off. He had met Jessa a time or two, but I didn’t want him mentioning her right now. I didn’t want shorty judging my situation before she even knew me. I had already made it up in my mind that I wanted to stay in touch with shorty; not saying that anything was going to happen between us, but I definitely didn’t want to end things before they even started.
